Faces East
From the 2022 28-February Flowers Collection.
Sunflowers amaze me. As young plants they are heliotropes -moving with the sun - facing east with the dawn and then west as the sun sets. As they grow larger and produce flowers, their heliotropic movements come an end and they permanently face the East.
Artwork is 11”x14” and is created on 140lb watercolor paper with acrylic paint and pastels. Piece is varnished with Krylon UV Spray. It comes matted in white to fit an 16”x20” frame. Frame is not included.
