Meet Me

Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

Thank you for stopping by - My wish is to share my art with others, to make original art more easily accessible and attainable. My hope is that the original art pieces I’ve created bring you the same joy and happiness that I experienced in creating them! Thank you for giving my pieces a happy home to live ❤️

My story…

I’ve always been a maker.

For as long as I can remember, digging into the crayons, markers and tempura paints. Emulating my mother and grandmother, whether it be painting, sewing, crochet, knitting, quilting, ceramics or cross-stitch. Creativity was always encouraged!

In my college years, I was fortunate to be able to take courses in visual arts while pursuing a degree in science. It was a welcomed reprieve from the large and heavy science textbooks! Those visual arts courses gave me the opportunity to dabble in drawing and painting. This allowed me add a specialized concentration in visual arts upon graduation.

After college, visual art making took a back seat. Wedding planning, marriage, family, work. Life is busy! I continued my creative outlets through knitting (I love knitting socks!), sewing and quilting. When my son was in preschool, I taught sewing classes to both adults and children. It is a lost art that I love sharing with others.

In 2019, I once again picked up a paintbrush. This time in watercolor and gouache. When my grandmother passed away in early 2020, I inherited much of her acrylic painting treasure trove (she was an avid artist!). Then the pandemic of 2020, and I took a deep dive back into acrylic painting. Digging into my grandmother’s supplies tapped into that connection I had with her, in a time that was filled with so much uncertainty.

Today…

I live in the north coastal area of San Diego County, with my amazingly supportive husband of 20 years, my teenage son, and our two dogs. You will find us hiking our local trails, mountain biking in our local mountains, participating in trail-running races, bumming it at the beach, and tent camping when we can. In addition to painting, I work full-time in special education data management and support, and love to read, run, and cook (so long as someone else does the clean up!).
